One of the cheapest ways of staying in London is by booking a youth hostel. Some private hostels charge only a bit more than £10 a night for a dormitory bed with breakfast.
The London Hostel Association has a selection of very reasonably priced accommodations throughout central London.
If you’re looking for hostels as a choice of accommodation, another association to get in touch is the Youth Hostels Association (YHA) , which runs several hostels in London. There is no age limit, however non-members have to pay a small fee to join and adults also have to pay a bit more.
You can book your hostel accommodation through the online booking service, the International Booking Network (IBN).
If all the hostels that you’re looking for are fully booked over Easter and from July to September why not go for a student room. Rooms at the residence halls are available at a very reasonable price. Some of these are available in central locations such as South Kensington. Advanced booking is always a good idea, but places can be available at a short notice. For short notice bookings try the City University, King’s College or the Imperial College.
